THE INDY CONVERGENCE
-Artists at Work-
WHAT
The Indy Convergence is a ten day exploration of new methods of art & performance. It is a place for artists to experiment without consequences - to teach the strengths they already have, and to learn from the strengths of others. We want to know what keeps you up at night.

WHO
The Indy Convergence was founded by three members of 2007 season at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival - an actor/writer, a writer/director, and a dancer/photographer.
We are committed to the inclusion of artists of all kinds. We hope that after ten days, they can return to their freelance lives or artistic communities with new ideas and fresh perspectives on their work. Learn more about how the Convergence was founded at Early Stages.
WHERE
The Indy Convergence is proud to be hosted by the Wheeler Arts Community, located in historic Fountain Square in Indianpolis, IN. The Wheeler Arts Community is a renovated factory that is used by the Univeristy of Indianpolis as an art and service center. It also has 36 artists' lofts, art galleries, classrooms and the theater where we will be working. It is a wonderful place and space for collaborative artistic ventures. Artists will also have daily access to two local dance studios.

WHEN
The second Indy Convergence will take place from February 18 to February 28! Application are now available.
THE PROJECTS
The Indy Convergence will include these projects:
- artists leading or co-leading workshops for each other
- artists teaching workshops for the public, free of charge
- rehearsals and a culminating workshop performance of an umbrella project
- open studio space for personal and small-group projects
(Read more about how these are all different under Types Of Convergences)
